Dan graduated in 1996 with his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and spent his career in satellite ground systems technology. He went on to found and build a successful aerospace defense company. After selling his aerospace company, Dan founded Peak STEM Academy to allow him to pursue his passion for teaching and realize a new mission—to equip the next generation with the same love of technology that has always inspired him.
A long-time Colorado Springs resident, Dan has been married for 25 years. He raised three children, sending them to the The Classical Academy, and has been active in youth programs, his church, and the local community. He understands the need and importance of alternative education programs that teach kids critical skills, safety and responsibility, and that don’t break the bank. That’s why he created Peak STEM. He brings his wealth of experience and knowledge to each pod, teaching each kid in a personable and fun way.
